Comment Title:: USS Beaufort The "Big Deuce".
Comments:    The "Big Deuce" was the best ship I served on in my 30 year career. I have more challenging assignments, larger ships, larger crew, but none ever met the commaraderie, cohesiveness, and professionalism of this ship. My Storekeepers had the opportunity to be a true part of the crew by being integral participants in more than just supply evolutions, underway watch standing in CIC and on the bridge, handling the diver's air lines, on and off ship damage control, and all salvage operations. Great CO (CDR Nibbs), great XO (LCDR King).Was commisioned by CDR Nibbs on July 1, 1986. Thank you all for such a great experience.
