Comments:    The USS Mckee AS-41 was my 7th of 10 ships I served on. She holds a special place in my memories for I was a member of her pre-commissioning crew and plank owner.

Our wardroom was tighter than any I had ever seen before or since. We not only partied hard but we worked very hard to bring her online.

The reason she is my favorite ship is not limited to just the wardroom but the entire crew. The whole crew, officers and enlisted, worked together to bring her online.
