Comments:    When she made the move up north to Rhode Island, She was happy in Charleston, but things just went south when she went north. Broke down the day after she arrived, collision at sea during FLEETEX, Apr 19, 89. 6 mos in dry dock followed by workups and then another 6 mos when they found cracks again. Then 3 deployments supporting LIDO Ops. I left before she went through the Panama canal and did work in EASTPAC and then the transition to the Greek Navy. But, when you make Chief on a ship and get your ESWS qual, it holds a special place in your heart.
